School Resource Officer Joins South Beloit

Greetings South Beloit School District Community,

My name is Jeff Schewe and I am the new School Resource Officer (SRO) for the South Beloit School District. I have been a Deputy for 17 years with the Winnebago County Sheriff's Department and I am excited to work with the staff and students in this community. I will be at South Beloit High School the majority of time, but I will visit and interact with students, staff and families in each of the buildings in the district.

I come from the Harlem School District where I was the SRO at the Harlem Freshman Campus for last 8 years. Prior to being an SRO, I was a patrol Deputy in Machesney Park, river patrol Deputy, and a member of the SWAT team for six years. I enjoy working with youth and look forward to being a mentor, teacher, and positive influence on all of them.

I have been married to my wonderful wife for 21 years and we have 2 sons. One is currently attending college and the other is the Marine Corps. In my free time I enjoy boating, fishing, camping and motorcycle riding.

I look forward to being a part of a great school district. If you need to reach me, I have an office at the high school where you can stop by or call. Have a wonderful school year.
